My weekly wrap up is late, late, late! But I have a good reason. Bram turned THREE! Most of this week was full of hustle and bustle, getting ready for his big day(s). His actual birthday was Wednesday, his birthday party was Saturday. We opted to have his party at my Dad and Step Mom's house, due to the fact that our house is a half-packed, stacked-up mess.
We had a mini-party at our house on Wednesday. I would love to show you pictures of that little affair but I can't. It was Bram's day to spend as he pleased. And since what pleases him is running around naked, all the birthday pictures are of birthday boy in his birthday suit; presents, cake, you name it. So they're not suitable for blog use.
All he wanted this year was a "Buzz Lightyear Cake!" So on Wednesday I made cupcakes with Toy Story 3 toppers.

For Saturday I made him an outer space cake with a big Buzz toy claiming the universe in Bram's name ;) I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, except for the stars. I realized (too late) that my fondant tools, along with the star cutter , are all packed up in storage. So we had to make do with yellow polka dots for stars.

Bram was happy with it and that's all that matters.
We had his favorite meal (spaghetti) and had fun with the grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends. Bram had a lot of fun and was completely tuckered out by the end of the day.

ReplyDeleteWow, can you ever decorate cakes! And what a cute memory, spending his birthday in his birthday suit. Only a three year old would think of that. LOL
