Help Save My Marriage - Answer This Poll

Okay okay, so the title is a touch dramatic. But I do need your help! My husband and I have been having the same disagreement for, well, ever. We are both 100% confident the other is 100% wrong. So here, dear readers, is where you come in. Help me show my husband that he is, in fact, wrong! Answer the poll below so that I can once and for all prove that I am correct.

What is the CORRECT order to clean your teeth?

  1. Haha! My husband and I have the same argument with brushing and flossing. I say brush THEN floss, but he does it his way because his dad's a dentist. My FIL's professional opinion is that it doesn't matter WHEN you floss as long as you DO floss.

So I'm voting "Who cares," which really means it doesn't matter too much. Just do it. :)

  2. Hope your poll has its intended effect. Maybe you could google the issue and see what the "experts" say.

  3. Get rid of the main gunk first by brushing. Then floss to get rid of the stuff between the teeth and between the teeth and gums. Then brush again so your breath won't smell bad.

  4. I have to go with Anonymous! So, the poll should be about floss & brushing, not mouthwash & floss. Then mouthwash is optional and comes last.

  5. Mouthwash, floss, brush, then use mouthwash again. The mouthwash gets rid of the bacteria that might get swished around at every step.

  6. I'm with annonymous! Brush, floss, brush again, then mouthwash if you want. :-) Hope we are voting on your side not your dh's!!!!!

  7. Well, I voted but I would sure hate to come between a husband and wife!

A house divided cannot stand-especially over dental habits!

  8. Hopefully because both of you will be brushing and flossing and mouthwashing in whatever order you choose, you will kiss and make up after this is over :-)

  9. Brush, Floss then Mouthwash

Brush get most of the ickies, Floss gets the ickies tucked away, and mouthwash clears everything.

Now there is a pre-mouthwash out there that is meant for before brushing. It is suppose to loosen everything up. They also have the kiddos mouthwash that turns your teeth colors that you have to get rid of so you know they are brushing your teeth.

  10. Cute poll! I say floss, then brush, and have done it that way my whole life. Actually, I do rubber-gum-stimulator first, THEN floss, then brush. No mouthwash. I rinse with water and have even been told with my high-fluoride toothpaste NOT to rinse after brushing but keep the stuff on my teeth as long as possible. So there! ;-)
