Music Monday #15, Not Me Monday

Music Monday

Welcome to Music Monday! This is a music sharing meme, open to anyone who would like to play along. You can read the guidelines HERE. This weeks theme is 'Tell Me How You Feel'. I wanted a song that was fun. There were a few oldies but goodies I was tossing around, trying to make up my mind. But this past weekend I found myself dealing with a few people who made me want to question their sanity...and mine. So, last minute I chose the 2006 hit Crazy by Gnarls Barkley.

My favorite lyric, hands down: "Come on now, who do you, who do you, who do you, who do you think you are? Ha Ha Ha, bless your soul. You really think you're in control?" I realize this isn't a Christian song, but this verse always reminds me of the importance of 'letting go and letting God'. He's in control.

I having issues with my linky, so if you'd like to play along leave your link in the comment section. The theme for next week is "Dance, Dance, Dance!" C'mon, you know you'll have a great dance song after the big Labor Day parties :)

Not Me Monday

It's time for Not Me Monday, a meme created by MckMama at My Charming Kids. This meme was born out of MckMama's desire to admit some of her imperfections and reveal moments she'd rather forget. Click on over if you want to tell every one what you didn't do last week. As for me:

Below was my list of summer goals. I made this list on June 25th and I CERTAINLY DID NOT fail to accomplish every single one of these...except the last one. NOT ME!

Exercise at least 3x a week
Clean & organize basement
Power wash & stain the deck
Keep up with the garden
Keep up with the boys' learning goals
Continue writing & submitting my books
Finish reading and reviewing the books for my book review blog
Read for me (specifically, a biography about Milton Hershey)
Plan get togethers with my cousin and homeschool friends
Have Fun

  1. I'm confused -- did you do everything BUT the last one, or did you do nothing EXCEPT the last one???

Btw, thanks for the lyrics! What's with the denim skirt thing? (I always associate denim skirts with religious Jewish girls, who always wear denim skirts to school...)

  2. I only accomplished having fun... :)

I didn't accomplish one thing on my list, ugh!

The denim skirts and jumpers are pretty popular in homeschool circles, especially with the more conservatively religious ladies.
